Initial Setup
Teslemetry for Business lets your customers share their Tesla products with you. Each customer connects their own Tesla account to Teslemetry, the same way anyone signs in to teslemetry.com, and you pay for their access and read their data.
You never handle your customers' Tesla credentials, and you do not need your own Tesla application. Your business brings only its name, logo and colour.
Start setup
Begin at Get started. Setup takes a few short steps.
Region
Choose where your business account and configuration are stored: North America or Europe.
This does not decide where your customers' data lives. Tesla assigns each customer a region: customers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are stored in Europe, and customers in North America and Asia-Pacific (excluding China) are stored in North America.
Your business
Enter your business name, the link name your customers will see in your customer link, and the URL of your privacy policy. You then sign in, which creates your business account.
Branding
Set the name, logo and colour your customers see on the page where they connect, and a short reason why they should connect.
Customer access
Choose what you will ask your customers to share:
- User data - their Tesla account profile, such as name and email address. Turn it off if you already know who your customers are.
- Vehicle access - status of the vehicles they choose to share, optionally including location and commands.
- Energy site access - data from the Powerwall and solar sites they choose to share, optionally including commands.
Every customer who connects through your link is asked for all of these. Customers choose which vehicles and energy sites to share, not which permissions.
Free pilot
Businesses start on a free pilot with no charge. Once the pilot starts your customer link works, and its link name is fixed.
