How your customers connect their Tesla products to your business.
Your customer link is the page where your customers connect. You can find it in your portal.
How customers connect
- The customer opens your customer link and sees your name, logo and reason for connecting.
- They sign in with Tesla, exactly as they would on teslemetry.com, and grant the permissions you asked for.
- They choose which vehicles and energy sites to share with you. A vehicle needs the Teslemetry virtual key installed before it can be shared.
- They are sent back to you, or stay on Teslemetry if you have no return address.
Customers can stop sharing with your business at any time.

Optional. Your own identifier for the customer: up to 128 letters, numbers and . _ : @ -. It is sent back to you when they return. It is not secret, so do not put anything sensitive in it.
redirect
Optional and URL-encoded. Where the customer returns after connecting. It must exactly match one of the redirect URLs in your portal. Without it, customers return to the first one.
Reading data
Your apps read your customers' data with an API key from your portal.
